Here's some exciting news: The DAR has made their record copies for American Patriots available to the public! This can be a valuable research tool. Go to: online research. Go to: genealogical research system. Conduct an ancestor or descendants search. When you find your ancestor, click on see ancestor record. You can download the record copy for $10.00 which should provide a list of sources for the ancestor and all descendants in the lineage.

Bureau Of Land Management
Federal land patents which were the initial transfer of land titles from the federal government to individuals which include homestead, military warrant patents and cash entry. Find your ancestor's record, print off a digital of the original patent and then locate the actual survey plats and field notes of the property.
Naturalization Records
Finding your ancestor's naturalization records can be difficult at best. There does not appear to be one centralized depository and the records are scattered in a variety of courts including circuit, state and county courts.
